Monnaie idéalement centrée des deux côtés. Joli revers. Portrait agréable, bien venu à la frappe. Patine grise avec de légers reflets dorés

Obverse description : Tête casquée de Rome à droite ; derrière, marque de valeur (XVI) en monogramme ; le tout sur un bouclier.
Obverse translation : “Marcus Acilius Marci filius”, (Marc Acilius fils de Marc).

Reverse legend : ROMA À L'EXERGUE.
Reverse description : Hercule, nu debout dans un quadrige au pas à droite, tenant la massue de la main droite, les rênes et un trophée de la main gauche.

Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé une estimation de trente-huit coins de droit et de quarante-sept coins de revers. Ce denier semble en fait plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages de référence.

Indeed, the victory of this consul consecrated the victory of the Romans over the rebellious Greeks of Asia Minor. Lucius Cornelius Lentulus was the second consul that year.
