Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Tête de Rome de toute beauté. Magnifique revers. Très jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés. Conserve l’intégralité de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Pour ce denier, M. Crawford donne une estimation de 76 coins de droit et de 95 coins de revers. Ce type semble en fait plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux.

In 151 BC, the consuls L. Lucinius Lucullus and A. Postumius Albinus were imprisoned by the tribunes of the plebs. The consuls for the year 150 BC are T. Quinctius Flaminus and M. Acilius Balbus. Masinissa, in Africa, attacks Carthage which finally declares war on it in 151 BC. The Carthaginians are beaten the following year. The Romans intervene and eventually declare war on their eternal rival, Carthage..
