Historical background


GERMANY - FULDA - ADALBERT III OF HARSTALL

Located in central Germany, the abbey of Fulda was founded in 744. The abbot became prince of the Empire at the end of the 10th century. The first coins were minted in the 11th century. The abbey became a bishopric in 1752 before being secularized in 1803. Adalbert III minted, for the contributions of the years 1795 and 1796, a few thalers and half thalers.
