Historical background

GERMANY - KINGDOM OF BAVARIA - OTTO

(06/13/1886-1913)

Othon (24/04/1848-11/10/1916), second son of Maximilien II Joseph and Marie de Prussia is the brother of Louis II. After the death of his older brother in 1886, he succeeded him. Unbalanced like Louis II, it was his uncle, Léopold (1821-1912) who exercised the regency between 1886 and 1912, then his cousin, the future Louis III (1845-1921). In 1913, Othon abdicated in favor of Louis. He died in 1916.
