Obverse description : Tête à droite, la chevelure en deux rangées de mèches ; la première en bandeau sur la tempe et la seconde remontant et encadrant le motif en arc de cercles.

Reverse description : Cheval androcéphale galopant à droite, conduit par un aurige étendant la main gauche ; le vexillum devant le cheval et un personnage ailé replié sur lui-même entre les jambes du cheval.

The Andécaves or Andes, whose territory extended north of the Loire on the banks of the Mayenne, occupied Anjou, which today corresponds to the departments of Maine-et-Loire and Sarthe. Their name is found in the city of Angers, the ancient Juliomagus. They are cited by Caesar in the Gallic Wars. Caesar (BG. II, 35; III, 7, VII, 4; VIII, 26). Ptolemy (G. II, 8); Pliny (HN. IV, 107). Kruta: 69, 366.
