Commentary

Honoré Daumier (1808-1879) est un graveur, caricaturiste, peintre et sculpteur français originaire de Marseille. Après des études à l’Académie Suisse, il devient lithographe chez l’éditeur Belliard puis illustrateur de publicités. Il produit par la suite de nombreuses caricatures politiques et sociales. (cf.
