Ce denier est frappé sur un flan irrégulier et est recouvert d’une patine verte. Surfaces granuleuses dues à une oxydation

Commentary

Cette monnaie est un faux d’époque en cuivre copiant les deniers avec KAP/PAS attribué à Chappes dans l’Aube, toutefois, la présence de ces deniers KAP/PAS dans le trésor de Nice Cimiez a incité Georges Depeyrot, p. 155, à les classer à la région de Marseille. Deux deniers auraient été trouvés dans un marais proche de la vallée de la Seine, probablement Chappes selon les auteurs du RTSENA 11, p. 116. Nous préférons rester prudent au sujet de l’attribution de ces deniers.
