Potin identifiable, mais avec un flan court et des reliefs un peu mous. Patine brune et brillante

Commentary
Ce potin a un sanglier plus réaliste, mais le droit et le revers sont un peu plus stylisés que sur sur le potin précédent. Cet exemplaire correspondrait au DT. 2478, considéré comme la var. 2.

(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
