Historical background

BACTRIA - BACTRIAN KINGDOM - ANTIMACHUS II NIKEPHOROS

(160-155 BC)

O. Bopearachchi shared the coinage of Antimachus between Antimachus I Theos (185-170 BC.) and that of Antimachus II Nicephorus (160-155 BC) whose reign is very poorly known. Was this second Antimachus a son of Antimachus I because there is a historical hiatus of ten years between the two monarchs?.
