Obverse description : Buste diadémé, casqué et cuirassé de Basiliscus de face, tenant de la main droite la haste qui repose sur l'épaule et de la gauche, un bouclier orné d'un cavalier chargeant à droite (N’a).
Obverse translation : “Domini Nostri Basilisci et Marc Perpetui Augusti” (À nos seigneurs Basiliscus et Marcus perpétuels augustes).

Reverse


Reverse legend : VICTORI-A AVGGGH/ -|* CONOB.
Reverse description : Victoria (La Victoire) debout à gauche, tenant une longue croix de la main droite; dans le champ à droite, étoile à huit rais.
Reverse translation : “Victoria Augustorum” (La Victoire des augustes).

Commentary


Rubans de type 3. Diadème terminé par un cabochon gemmé. Casque à plumet. Cuirasse cloutée. Cavalier stylisé sur le bouclier. Ce type associant Basiliscus et son fils Marcus est beaucoup plus rare.
