Reverse legend : MOX HOSPITE DIGNA ; À L’EXERGUE : BATIMENS DU ROY 1756.

Reverse description : Réfection de la colonnade du Louvre. Au-dessus, une grue pour monter les pierres, devant, par terre, des bois de charpente.

Reverse translation : Bientôt digne de son hôte.

Commentary

Comme tous les jetons présentant le buste GP.714/D, ce jeton présente de nombreux défauts de coin au droit. Ce jeton date certainement des années 1775-1776 et non de 1756. Intéressante représentation d’architecture. C’est cet exemplaire qui illustre le type dans le Guéant Prieur.
