LORDSHIP OF BÉARN - JEAN DE GRAILLY

(1412-1436)

In 1290, Béarn was reunited with the house of Foix. In 1381, Béarn and the county of Foix passed into the house of Grailly. Jean de Grailly, after the Centulles, was the first lord of Béarn to put his name on his coins. Gaston de Foix succeeded him in 1436. In 1484, Béarn passed into the house of Albret.
