Coments on the condition:
Ce gros est frappé sur un flan légèrement irrégulier et présentant une fente partant de 3 h. 30 au revers pour rejoindre l’arrière-train du léopard. Exemplaire avec une faiblesse de frappe à 7 heures au revers se retrouvant à 2 heures au droit. La croix du droit apparaît légèrement en négatif au revers. Ce gros est recouvert d’une patine grise de médaillier et le léopard est bien venu à la frappe

Historical background
BERGERACOIS - BERGERAC - HENRY OF LANCASTER
Henry of Lancaster (1299-1361) is the grandson of Henry III Plantagenet and the cousin of Edward III. From 1347, to thank him for the services rendered at the start of the Hundred Years' War, Henri received the seigniory of Bergerac, which he retained until his death. In 1351, the earldom of Lancaster was elevated to a duchy.
