Ce denier est frappé sur un flan large et échancré à 6 heures. Patine grise. La croix du droit apparaît en négatif au revers. Le droit est plus net que le revers dont la surface est granuleuse

(1160-1194)
The coinage of the seigneury of Gien began under Geoffroy II de Donzy (1055-1112). Hervé III de Donzy succeeded Geoffroy III de Donzy in 1160. It was probably under this lord that the last coins of Gien were struck.
