Philippe de Saint-Paul is the son of the Duke of Brabant, Antoine de Bourgogne and Jeanne, daughter of Waleran III of Luxembourg. He succeeded his brother Jean who was Duke of Brabant from 1415 to 1427. Philippe de Saint-Paul died on August 4, 1430. After his death, Philippe le Bon, Duke of Burgundy, was recognized as Duke of Brabant.
