The Buwayhid (Buyid) reigned over Iran and Iraq between 932 and 1062. They are subdivided into several different lineages, often enemies. Adud al-Dawla Abu Shuja succeeded Rukn al Dawla al-Hasan bin Buwayh (AH. 335-366/ 947-977).
