(63-52 BC)

Ariobarzanes II Philopator (who loves his father) succeeded the latter in 63 BC who had abdicated in his favour, when Pompey, victorious in the East, organized the province of Syria and thus became the direct neighbor of the client kingdom and ally of Rome. He was assassinated in 52 BC.
