Ce type d’obole est donné par Legros à Eudes II (1004-1037). Ces monnaies se rencontrent dans plusieurs trésors, notamment celui de Saint-Hilaire (Essonne) (Dy.I/307), enfoui entre 1040 et 1060.

Eudes II is the son of Eudes I (975/8-996). He first inherited the county of Blois (996-1037), then, after the death of his brother Thibaut II (996-1004), the county of Chartres which brought them together again. On his death, his son Thibaut III succeeded him.
