Ce denier est frappé sur un flan légèrement irrégulier et voilé présentant une trace de pliure. Exemplaire recouvert d’une patine grise de médaillier

Reverse description : Lettres AR, le A sous une croix, cantonnée de deux groupes de trois points formant un triangle.

Commentary

Type monétaire attribuable à l’Auvergne en raison des lettres AR au revers. Nous retrouvons toutefois des A croisetés ainsi que des groupes de trois points posés en triangle sur des monnaies mérovingiennes de Melle. Ce type monétaire avec ce personnage debout entre deux croix se retrouve aussi à Chartres (Foucray).
