Coments on the condition:

Exemplaire sur un flan large, épais et irrégulier avec les grènetis visibles, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait juvénile de Commode. Frappe un peu molle sur la légende au revers, mais personnage bien venu à la frappe. Très jolie patine verte

Reverse translation : "Vota Publica Tribunicia Potestate iterum Imperator iterum Consul Pater Patriæ", (Les vœux publics revêtu de la deuxième puissance tribunitienne et de la deuxième acclamation impériale consul père de la patrie).

Commentary

Rubans de type 3, Ptéryges larges sous le paludamentum. Ce type semble beaucoup plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux. C’est la première fois que nous proposons ce type à la vente !.
