Commentary

Historical background

CONSIDIA

(46 BC)

The monetary college of 46 includes three monetary: Manlius Cordus Rufus, Titus Carisius and Caius Considius Pætus. It seems that Caius Considius Pætus was favorable to the Pompeians and then forgiven by Caesar. He participates in the celebration of Caesar's quadruple triumph that year. Vercingetorix, after having participated in the triumph of the imperator, is strangled at the Mamertine. The career of Caius Considius Pætus is poorly known outside of his monetary triumvirate.
