Exemplaire sur un flan large, bien centré des deux côtés, avec les grènetis complets. Exceptionnel portrait de Constance à gauche. Revers de style fin. Belle patine gris métallique avec des reflets dorés. Conserve une partie de son brillant de frappe

Obverse description : Buste lauré et cuirassé de Constance Ier César à gauche drapé sur l’épaule, vu de trois quarts en avant avec un sceptre sur l’épaule droite (F*5).

Obverse translation : “Constantius Nobilissimus Cæsar”, (Constance très noble césar).

Reverse legend : GENIO POPV-LI ROMANI/ (AUTEL)|A// PLG.

Reverse description : Genius (Génie) debout à gauche, coiffé du modius, le manteau sur l'épaule gauche, tenant une patère de la main droite et une corne d'abondance de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Genio Populi Romani”, (Au Génie du Peuple romain).

Commentary

Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Cuirasse et épaulière cloutées. Les ptéryges sont fines et bien visibles. Variante de césure rare avec seulement 4 exemplaires dans le Bastien.
