Obverse translation : “Flavius Iulius Constans Pius Felix Augustus”, (Flavien Jules Constans pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse legend : CONSTA-NS AVG/ -|-// SM[H].

Reverse description : Victoria (la Victoire) drapée, les ailes ouvertes, marchant à droite, tenant une couronne de la main droite levée et une palme de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Constans Augustus”, (Constans auguste).

Commentary

Poids très léger. Rubans de type 3. Diadèmé perlé et gemmé. Expression du visage idéalisé comme pour Constantin Ier, regardant vers le ciel. La marque de l’exergue, SMH se traduit par “Sacra Moneta Heraclea”, (Monnaie sacrée de l’atelier d’Héraclée). C’est la première fois que nous proposons ce type à la vente !.
