Très bel exemplaire pour ce type, frappé sur un flan bien centré. Beau portrait stylisé au droit et joli revers à l’usure régulière. Patine grise

Obverse description : Tête légèrement stylisée de Zeus à droite, la barbe, le nez et la bouche figurés par des points.

Commentary

Semble complètement inédit et non répertorié. Manque aux principaux ouvrages consultés. Cet exemplaire par son style et son poids semble différent des autres exemplaires, au niveau du revers avec un cavalier dans une position académique qui est assez proche du prototype macédonien. Le droit quant à lui peut être rapproché des autres exemplaires tout en étant moins stylisé. Le portrait rappelle le style de certaines imitations thraces.
