Commentary

Diamètre sans bélière : 37,5 mm.
D’après Wikipedia, les Voraces sont une société ouvrière lyonnaise regroupant des canuts (ouvriers de la soie), apparue à la Croix-Rousse en 1846, dans le contexte social agité de la révolte des canuts, et disparue en 1849.
La médaille fut gravé par Dantzel et édité par Garapon pour servir de décoration aux Voraces de la Montagne.
