Potin aux faibles reliefs, surtout au droit, mais parfaitement identifiable. Joli revers. Patine sombre avec de légères concrétions verdâtres

Commentary


Ce potin se trouve plutôt chez les Durocasses, notamment avec des bronzes SNIA. Ce potin a d’ailleurs été publié par B. Fischer dans les fouilles de fort Harrouard qui aurait été identifié comme l’atelier de fabrication.

The Durocasses are not cited by Caesar in the Gallic Wars. They seem to have emancipated themselves from Carnut tutelage quite late, like the Parisii from that of the Senones. Their name means "the warriors of the fortified hill"..
