Patine hétérogène, des marques d’usure sur les reliefs. Présence de quelques coups et rayures, notamment sur la tranche à 6 heures

Obverse description : Buste habillé d’une robe élaboré montrant la scène d’ouverture de la Porte Sainte, une large médaille montrant le pape assis au devant, figuré de profil à droite.

Reverse

Reverse legend : ΦEPNH. ZHNOΣ // À L”EXERGUE : EYPAINEI. .

Reverse description : Représentation allégorique avec Ganymède nu tenant une amphore qu’il déverse sur des fleurs. Aigle à sa gauche.

Commentary

Bel exemplaire ancien, probablement une frappe de la fin du XVIIIe siècle, début du XIXe siècle.
Exemplaire frappé par la suite à partir d'une œuvre originale d'Alessandro Cesati appelée "il Grechetto".
