In 132 BC, Publius Popilius Lænas and Publius Rupilius were consuls and condemned the supporters of Tiberius Gracchus who had been assassinated the previous year. Publius Rupilius wins a victory over the rebellious slaves in Sicily. Sicily is reorganized by the Rupilia Law.
