Coments on the condition:
Flan très quadrangulaire, un peu court avec les types complets mais avec un droit et un revers idéalement centrés. Frappe vigoureuse, surtout au droit. Patine sombre, un peu plus soutenue au droit

Obverse description : Tête à gauche ; avec une rangée d'esses, mèche sur le front et favori long devant l'oreille ; œil de profil.

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Croix au centre, formée de quatre cantons ; un collier perlé au 1er canton, une grenade au 2e, (une hache au manche coudé au 3e et une fleur quadrilobée au 4e).

Commentary


La collection G. Savès ne renfermait que quatre drachmes de ce type ; le n° 1268 de MONNAIES 36 et les trois passées en Boutique toutes rachetées par le Musée de Toulouse.
Cet exemplaire est le plus homogène, avec un très bel avers et les quatre cantons du revers identifiables !.
