Patine hétérogène avec des traces d’usure, quelques coups et rayures. Présence de tâches d’oxydation. Traces d’une ancienne bélière et d’étain à 12 heures

Obverse legend : WILHELM / DER / GROSSE / DEUTSCHER / KAISER // KOENIG / VON / PREUSSEN.

Obverse description : Buste habillé et casqué à droite.

Reverse

Reverse legend : ZUM ANDENKEN / AN DEN / HUNDERTSTEN GEBURTSTAG / DES GROSSEN KAISERS / WILHELM I. / 1797-22.MAERZ-1897.

Reverse description : Légende en 6 lignes, branche de laurier et de chêne, couronne impériale et symboles du pouvoir sur un coussin à l’exergue.

Commentary

Le fabricant des médailles était Otto Oertel. Le dessin de la médaille a été réalisé par le sculpteur Walter Schott. D’autres exemplaires auraient été fait suite à diverses demandes auprès d’autres fabricants.
