Diamètre sans bélière : 35 mm
Le début de la fabrication industrielle de l’aluminium débute vers 1860, après la publication de la découverte de Henri Sainte Claire Deville, son prix est alors voisin de celui de l’or. Il est utilisé en bijouterie de luxe. Ces médailles ne sont pas alors, comme nous pourrions le croire aujoud’hui des médailles “au rabais” mais bel et bien des “bijoux”.
