Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un flan ovale, parfaitement centré au droit avec le grènetis complet, un peu court sur la légende au revers. Portrait de toute beauté. Joli revers. Servi par une magnifique patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés

Reverse legend : PRINC IVV-ENTV-TIS.
Reverse description : Géta debout à gauche, en habit militaire, tenant un rameau de la main droite et une haste de la gauche ; derrière, un trophée orné d’une cuirasse, de boucliers et d’armes.
Reverse translation : “Principi Iuventutis”, (Au Prince de la jeunesse).

Caesar

Born on May 26, 189, Geta became Caesar in 198 and received the title of pontifex the following year. He accompanies his father and his brother to Brittany from 208 and is raised to Augustat the following year. When Septimius Severus died in York on February 4, 211, the two brothers brought their father's ashes back to Rome and became co-emperors. But they hate each other. Finally, after a year of joint rule, Caracalla kills his brother in their mother's arms. Geta is dedicated to "damnatio memoriæ" (damnation of memory). His supporters are systematically massacred.
