Obverse translation : "Imperator Gordianus Pius Felix Augustus", (L’empereur Gordien pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse legend : VIRTVTI AVGVSTI.
Reverse description : Hercule nu debout de face, regardant à droite, posant sa main droite sur sa hanche et tenant de sa main gauche une massue posée sur un rocher ; à côté de la massue, une peau de lion.
