Exemplaire sur un flan légèrement ovale, légèrement décentré au droit. Très beau portrait. Joli revers. Flan fendu à 5 heures au revers. Belle patine vert foncé

Historical background
GORDIANUS III and TRANQUILLINA
(241-244)
Gordian III married the daughter of the prefect of the Praetorian Timésithée, Tranquillina, in 241. The following year, she accompanied the emperor to the East. After the death of his father, replaced by Philip the Arab, we lose track of him. Gordian was assassinated in 244 at the instigation of the new prefect of the Praetorium.
