Exemplaire sur un flan large, ovale et irrégulier, bien centré. Portrait magnifique de Gordien III. Petite faiblesse de frappe au revers. Patine vert olive foncé

Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
