Commentary


Étoile émaillée rouge et blanche tenue par une couronne de laurier et relié à une bélière avec un ruban rouge bordé bleu, blanc et rouge. La décoration est conservée dans son écrin cartonné marron timbré d’une inscription dorée : INTERNATION EXHIBITION LONDON 1902
Dimensions de l’étoile : 51 mm, avec la bélière et la couronne : 75,5 mm.

(22/01/1901-7/05/1910)

Edward VII (9/11/1841-7/05/1910) is the eldest son of Victoria and Albert of Saxe-Coburg. He succeeded his mother in 1901. Married to Alexandra of Denmark (1844-1925), he had four children, including Georges V. He created the Entente Cordiale with France in 1904.
