Guillaume III (1650-1702) is the son of Guillaume II of Orange and Marie, sister of Charles II. He married Mary Stuart (1662-1694), daughter of James II (1685-1688). After the revolution of 1688, Marie became queen and her husband, already prince of Orange, king of England. After the death of his wife from smallpox, he remained King until his death in 1702..
