Monnaie de toute beauté ayant conservé une partie de son brillant de frappe. Petite paille dans le métal sur la tranche à 12 heures ayant provoqué un petit éclatement. Cassure de coin sur le buste. De très beaux reliefs et une belle patine de collection

(1653-1658)

Oliver Cromwell (1591-1658) was an English politician and soldier, general of the troops of the "New Model Army", which was victorious over the royalists during the first English revolution. After the execution of King Charles I in 1649, Cromwell established a republican Commonwealth in England in which he held the leading role as Lord Protector. He reigned in this capacity from 1653 until his death in 1658, most likely as a result of malaria..
