Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Gratien à droite vu de trois quarts en avant (A’a) ; diadème perlé.

Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Gratianus Pius Felix Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Gratien pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse

Reverse legend : VRBS - ROMA/ -|-// TRPS..

Reverse description : Rome assise à gauche sur une cuirasse, les jambes croisées, tenant un globe nicéphore de la main droite et un sceptre long perlé de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Urbs Roma”, (La ville de Rome).

Commentary

Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Cabochon rond gemmé du diadème. Les ptéryges sont à peine visibles sous le paludamentum. Fibule ronde en attache sur le paludamentum. Buste normal. Au revers sceptre bouleté.
