Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé à droite, vu de trois quarts en arrière (A'a) ; diadème perlé.

Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Gratianus Pius Felix Augustus” (Notre seigneur Gratien pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse legend : VICTOR-IA AVGG/ -|-// COM.

Reverse description : Gratien à gauche et Théodose Ier à droite, assis de face, diadémés, vêtus de la toge, tenant ensemble un globe ; derrière, buste de la Victoire, les ailes déployées posé sur un cippe orné d’une croisette, cantonnée de trois globules ; entre les deux augustes, une palme posée au sol.

Reverse translation : “Victoria Augustorum”, (La Victoire des augustes).

Commentary

Atelier inhabituel. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Diadème perlé terminé par un cabochon gemmé rond. Fibule avec cabochon perlé aux extrémités perlées. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. .
