Commentary


La Grèce entra dans le système de l'Union Latine le 23 décembre 1865. Par la déclaration du 26 septembre 1868, la Grèce entra définitivement dans le système et les premières pièces furent fabriquées en 1868. Elles furent démonétisées par le décret du 3 octobre 1929.

George I (1845-1913) is the youngest son of Christian IX King of Denmark (1863-1906). He was chosen as King of Greece in 1863 to succeed Otto of Wittelsbach (1832-1867), the son of Louis I of Bavaria. He was assassinated in 1913.
