HAINAUT - COUNTY OF HAINAUT - ALBERT OF BAVARIA

(1389-1404)

Albert (1336-1404) is the son of William II of Bavaria (1337-1345) and Marguerite d'Avesnes (1345-1356). He succeeded his brother Guillaume III (1354-1389) and had already been regent in 1357. He married Marguerite de Brieg (+1386) in 1363, then in 1394 Marguerite de Clèves (+1412). His son, Guillaume IV (1365-1417), succeeded him on his death in 1404.
