Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré, bien venu à la frappe. Beau portrait d’Hélène. Joli revers. Patine vert claire avec des reflets métalliques

Avec son argenture superficielle. Bandeau de cheveux enroulés retombant en queue derrière la tête. Ce type était absent de notre catalogue spécialisé sur le thème de Constantinople (ROME XXVI, p. 5-22).

Helena, mother of Constantine and first wife of Constantius Chlorus, received the title of augusta in 324. After the death of Fausta and Crispus, she went to the Holy Land. In Jerusalem, she discovered remains of the true cross and founded many institutions. She died in 328, was sanctified and entered in the calendar.
