Flan large, bien centré des deux côtés. Petite faiblesse à 12h au revers mais superbe exemplaire. Portrait d’Athéna de toute beauté ainsi qu’un revers de style fin, de très beau style. La monnaie a conservé une partie de son coupant. Patine grise de collection

IONIA - LEBEDOS (PTOLEMAIS)

(3rd century BC)

Lebedos was a very old coastal city in Asia Minor, located about forty kilometers from Ephesus. During the Hellenistic period, it fell under Lagide influence and took the name of Potlémaïs. On the death of Ptolemy IV (204 BC) the city regained its independence which it retained after the Peace of Apamea I.
