(1702-1705)

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the French occupied several towns in Piedmont. Modena surrendered on July 31, 1702. From the end of the year 1703, the creation of a mint was considered in Modena. This workshop struck in the name of Louis XIV in 1704 and 1705 species of billon and copper.
