ITALY - KINGDOM OF NAPLES - CHARLES OF BOURBON

(1734-1759)

Charles III (1716-1788) is the third son of Philip V (1700-1746) and the brother of Ferdinand VI (1746-1759). He was first Duke of Parma (1731-1735), then King of the Two Sicilies (1734-1759), finally King of Spain and India (1759-1788). In Naples he took a great interest in Antiquities and began to supervise the work of discovery in Pompei.
