Charles-Albert (2/10/1798- 28/08/1849) is the son of Charles-Emmanuel de Savoie. He succeeded his uncle in 1831. After the defeat of Novarre, he abdicated on March 24, 1849, in favor of his son Victor-Emmanuel II. He died in Porto on August 28 of the same year..
