(1355-1377)

Frederick III was the second son of Peter II and Elizabeth of Bavaria. He succeeded his brother Louis (1342-1355) when he was only 13 years old. He had to fight against the attempt of Joan of Naples and Louis of Taranto to reconquer Sicily in 1356.
