Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Justinien à droite vu de trois quarts en avant (A’) ; diadème perlé.

Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Iustinianus Perpetuus Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Justinien perpétuel auguste).

Reverse

Reverse legend : VICTORIA AVGVSTORVM/ *|-// CONOB.

Reverse description : Victoire debout de face, tournée à gauche, tenant une couronne de la main droite et un globe crucigère de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Victoria Augustorum”, (La Victoire des augustes).

Commentary

Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités perlées en forme de boucle perdue. Diadème perlé avec une sorte de bandeau. Ptéryges fines sous le paludamentum. Étoile dans le champ à gauche ce qui est exceptionnel. Ce type est attribué à l’atelier de Rome par Hahn.
