Historical background

LANGUEDOC - COUNTY OF TOULOUSE - RAYMOND V, RAYMOND VI or RAYMOND VII

(1148-1249)

Traditionally, the raimondins are given to the three counts who succeeded each other in Toulouse between 1148 and 1249. The typological evolution starts from those of Alphonse Jourdain (1112-1148). Raymond V succeeded him (1148-1194), as well as on the county of Saint-Gilles, Raymond VI (1194-1222) and Raymond VII (1222-1249) followed.
